Cavium and Trend Micro Introduce Mobile Edge Computing and NFV Solutions on ThunderX® and OCTEON TX™ Platforms

Delivers Virtualized Network Security Solutions for ARM-based COTS and vCPE Servers

SAN JOSE, CA; BARCELONA, SPAIN Feb 27, 2017 – Cavium, Inc., (NASDAQ: CAVM), a leading provider of semiconductor products that enable secure and intelligent processing for enterprise, data center, wired and wireless networking, and Trend Micro, a global leader in cyber security solutions, today announced the availability of Trend Micro™ Virtual Network Function Suite (VNFS) on Cavium’s ARMv8 ThunderX data center COTS server processors and OCTEON TX multicore processors.  The companies will showcase mobile edge services which include Trend Micro’s VNFS security virtual network functions as part of Cavium’s live virtualized network infrastructure demonstration at this week's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.

“Cavium is showcasing its technology capability to support full End to End 5G use case include Security, Core and Radio Access Networks,” Said Raj Singh, Vice President of Cavium’s Networking and Communications Group. “In addition to the ThunderX processor technologies that run the 5G RAN, the virtualized BBU and mobile core functions, we are also partnering with network threat security leader, Trend Micro, to show operators and telco equipment manufacturers commercial VNFs and services running on a live MEC and NFV platform.”

Cavium to Demonstrate Newest Infrastructure Security Solutions at RSA 2017

Demonstrations include next-generation crypto acceleration and offload solutions for enterprise, cloud data centers and telco infrastructures
SAN JOSE, CA – February 13, 2017 – Cavium, Inc. (NASDAQ: CAVM), a leading provider of products that enable secure and intelligent processing for enterprise, data center, cloud, wired and wireless networking, will demonstrate the company’s newest infrastructure security solutions at RSA 2017 from February 13th – 16th in San Francisco at the Moscone Center, South Hall in Booth 2133. Cavium product demonstrations will include the company’s industry leading, LiquidSecurity® HSM family, NITROX® processors and OCTEON TX multicore processors.

With the rapid growth of multi-tenant data centers and expansion of enterprise boundaries into the cloud, vulnerability of the network infrastructure has increased, mandating the implementation of security at multiple layers of the network. Enterprises, cloud and service provider infrastructure providers are rapidly deploying comprehensive Layer 3 to Layer 7 security across every node as well as fully encrypted node to node traffic both within the LAN as well as the WAN. ·         NITROX XL FIPSAdapters: First FIPS/HSM adapter that provides up to 35K 2K sign/sec and up to 32 partitioned HSMs in a single HSM boundary. This adapter enables standard Cryptographic interfaces for enterprise software solutions with FIPS–level 3 security requirements.
·         OCTEON TX Multicore Processors: Compatible 64–bit ARM and MIPS SoC families delivering industry leading performance and power efficiency for intelligent networking and security applications. Optimized for enterprise and wireless infrastructure, with comprehensive built–in hardware acceleration for SSL, IPsec, Wireless crypto algorithms, Deep Packet Inspection (DPI), packet processing QoS and traffic management.

Cavium OCTEON III Multi-Core Processor Family Powering Next Generation Advanced Security Appliances

SAN JOSE, CA, March 1, 2016 – Cavium, Inc., (NASDAQ: CAVM), a leading provider of semiconductor products that enable intelligent processing for enterprise, data center, cloud, wired and wireless networking, today announced that its latest processing technologies are enabling a new wave of advanced security appliances. Based upon the latest generation of scalable security products including OCTEON® III multicore processors and NITROX® security processors, these solutions address a wide range of price and performance points to allow secure scaling across the whole spectrum of deployment scenarios utilizing a common architectural and software framework within product lines.

With the rapid growth of multi–tenant data centers and expansion of enterprise boundaries over the cloud, vulnerability of the network infrastructure has increased.
